Some of our favorite vacations have been what we like to call our "Van Trips." This generally entails us having an idea of where we might be headed but generally no itinerary is involved. There is just something about losing cell phone service, and camping off the beaten path. Here is a list that we have learned through trial and error on what accessories work best with Van Life. 

Yes, we know what you might be thinking...the first thing on your list is a paper towel holder!? YES!! This is because before this ratcheting paper towel holder we had a standard version. This always resulted in paper towel unraveling by the time you reached your destination. This saves us from having to roll the paper towel neatly back up. 

Not only is this neutral colored dish set environmental friendly it is reusable. You will want light weight dishes that are unbreakable for those van trips. We learned the hard way van's can get bumpy and things will get broken! 

In such a small space you will want all the multi-purpose items. This cutting board is the perfect accessory. It is a cutting board, storage basket, and can be used as a colander. Also in such a small space you will want items that have the ability to downsize. This cutting board is able to fold up and save space when storing! 

All of our van trips involve the great outdoors so we need a place to sit outside to actually enjoy it when we are back at the van. These compact chairs allow us to save space and have a place to sit outside besides the ground. The design allows for easier storage and makes it that much more accessible to enjoy the stars at night, or the morning sun! 

How cute is this mini broom?! It doesn't matter if you think you are clean. The Van is going to get dirty so quickly! This mini broom allows for easy storage and easy access to do one quick sweep...or ten! 

This one is for all the shorties! Ashley being only 5' some things can be a little more challenging. This stool is great to put in front to your seat to make those long road trips a little more comfortable. Also a great stool to place in front of the bed so you can stop doing the run and jump every single time! 

Things you will always need more of in a tiny area..STORAGE! With limited space this can become tricky. This over the door organizer allows to have more storage in an "unused" space. We hold shoes, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, and many other miscellaneous items. 

This mirror has adjustable lighting to make it easier to do those tasks you don't realize you rely on the mirror for. Face washing, brushing teeth, contact placement/removal, etc. We don't have a mirror on our visor's so this makes the perfect travel accessory! 

Even on van trips laundry happens. This eco-friendly laundry bag is big enough to hold up to three loads of laundry. It zips up so no need to worry about laundry falling out as it is moved around. The strap makes it easy to hang up. Along with the backpack strap for easy transportation! 

One of our favorite things about the interior of our van is looking at a handmade custom sign that represents our home. It adds so much character, and color to our small neutral colored interior.
